I am a classically trained soprano with a dark timbre and wide range (D3-E6). My greatest musical passion is in symphonic metal, where I can blend both classical and contemporary techniques.
I recorded a series of one-take covers of both metal and classical songs. No fancy editing or equipment, just my voice. Performances include Epica, Nightwish, Puccini, and Monteverdi.
I graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University where my primary instrument was bass clarinet. I currently perform with the Heisey Wind Ensemble, and have previous performance experience with such groups as the Anchorage Chamber Singers and the Billings Symphony Orchestra.
I taught music for 12 years with experience at all grade levels K-12, with a primary focus on creating award-winning ensembles in high school band.
A passion project of mine was the 3 years I produced and hosted a weekly classical music radio show on KUCB, where I interviewed guests and offered playlists that were unique in their breadth of exploration in all facets of the classical genre.
